George Coumantaros, Founder Flour Mills Nigeria

The Chairman, Board of Directors and Management of Flour Mills of Nigeria PLC (FMN) have announced with deep regret, the death of the founding father of the Company and Chairman Emeritus, Mr. George Stavros Coumantaros. He passed on peacefully in his sleep on Monday, 17th October 2016, in Athens, Greece, at the age of 94.

Mr. Coumantaros is a visionary and dynamic leader, who founded Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc in September 1960. The company pioneered flour milling in Nigeria when its first mill was commissioned in Apapa in 1962.
