Nigerian Bag Manufacring (BAGCO) was established as a wholly owned subsidiary company of FMN Plc. in Lagos in 1972 to provide quality sacks to support the industrial and agricultural sectors of the Nigerian economy. In 1990, Northern Bag Manufacturing Company Limited was established in Kano to further increase the capacity of sack production and improve distribution. In 2007, BAGCO was quoted on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) and became a Plc when FMN sold 30% of its equity holding to the Nigerian public. It was during this first year as a publicly quoted company that BAGCO was awarded the NSE President’s Award for its Trade Group.


BAGCO which comprises Nigerian Bag Manufacturing Company, Northern Bag Manufacturing Company, and MORPACK were delisted from the Nigerian stock exchange in March 2013 and all three companies have been consolidated as a division of FMN.


We are recongized both locally and internationally and have been rewarded for our consistency, leadership, and excellence at various occasions, some of which include

  3. NSE – 31st Annual President Award winner – 2007

Currently, BAGCO Division has a production capacity of 32 million sacks a month, comprising bags and sacks used to package powder and granular industrial products (Cement, Fertilizer, Flour, Sugar, Salt, Detergent, etc) and open market products (Shopping Bags, Agricultural products etc). Also, additional products such as webbing (Webby), sewing yarns, small bags (Trabag) and flexible intermediates bulk containers (Jumbo bags) have been added to BAGCO product portfolio.
